Floor Care

We’re here to share hints, tips, help and advice to help you fly through your vacuuming so that you can spend your precious time doing other things.

Here at Morphy HQ, we’ve been overwhelmed by the number of entries that we’ve received from ‘Mummy’ and ‘Foodie’ bloggers to become one of our ‘Innovators’ and test the latest products in our range. As a result of partnering with the ‘Foodies 100’ and ‘Tots 100’, we’ve received over 100 entries from blogger and are currently enjoying reading them all!

Foodies 100

Last year, we worked with 15 bloggers who tested our appliances and provided valuable feedback and insight that we then passed on to our elite team of our designers. Our designers are now using much of that feedback when designing and developing future products. Following the initiative’s success, we are looking to recruit a further 30 bloggers.

We’re back off to read through more of the great entries, we’ll report back next week with details of our selected bloggers. We’ll also reveal our brand spanking new ‘Innovators’ badge which our bloggers will proudly display on their blogs.

Here at Morphy, we love nothing better than hearing a great story about household appliances – especially our own!

So you can imagine how thrilled we were to hear from Debbie Bolas about her grandmother Annie Hall from Batley who designed the clicker switch one of our toasters, with the help of none other than brand co-founder Charles Richards.

Ms Hall was blind and, getting fed up of burnt toast, she enlisted the help of Mr Richards to help create a switch that would bring an end to her problems.

Here she is being presented with the very first one off the product line … Doesn’t she look proud?

Ms Bolas’ story got us thinking about the other great Morphy tales people might be storing away in their cupboards.

You may have seen that we’ve switched our Facebook page to the new timeline format, which allows you to post key milestones in your company history, and we want your help to tell our story throughout the years.

We want to hear about the oldest household appliances you’ve got knocking around in your home, whether it’s a 10 year old kettle, a 20 year old vacuum cleaner or an old faithful iron.

If you like our Facebook page, you’ve probably already seen stories like this one about the 60-year-old Morphy toaster. We want to uncover even more, and use our Facebook page to tell the story of Morphy Richards from your perspective.

As well as seeing your prized household appliance on our Facebook page, you’ll also be in with a chance of winning a striking Accents Blue Kettle and Toaster set!

When we opened the newspapers at Morphy HQ, we got a wonderful surprise yesterday, our Never Loses Suction (NLS) Vacuum Cleaner was in first place in The Independent’s ’10 Best… Vacuum Cleaners’ feature. Here’s what the paper said about the machine:

“The Morphy Richards Never Loses Suction lift away bagless upright vacuum cleaner does what it says on the tin – so much so that it’s almost embarrassing to see how much it collects from a few sweeps of the carpet. It’s easy to assemble and use and has great attachments.”
